A body of work at the intersection of human behavior, language, and systems thinking.
Frameworks, writing, and research by R.K. Josephson
Exploring the ways language shapes perception, how emotion becomes pattern, and how systems - human and artificial - can operate with greater integrity.

Tapered Ink is the work of R.K. Josephson - driven by insatiable curiosity and deep empathy for the human experience.
The frameworks, writing, and research here emerged from over a decade of cross-disciplinary observation. Neuroscience, linguistics, philosophy, behavioral psychology, and ancient wisdom. Not for the purpose of building a theory, but to find what was already true across all of them.
This is not self help. It is a body of work for people who are curious about the systems shaping their experience and tools for those who wan tot work with that understanding honestly.

A meta-framework for emotional regulation grounded in neuroscience, linguistics, and behavioral science. PISA(R) doesn’t introduce new theory, it reveals the structure that existing tools and practices point toward. A repeatable process for recognizing misalignment and shifting from reaction to response.

A framework for epistemic integrity in AI systems. Candor identifies and names two failure modes — Self-Referential Moral Ascription (SRMA) and Self-Referenial Moral Recursion (SRMR) — and defines the constraints that prevent them. Developed through direct implementation. Testable by anyone.

Mental decluttering in written form. Topics vary — behavior, language, emotion, AI, human systems — because curiosity doesn’t need to stay in one lane. Written when something needs to get out of my head and into the world.
